Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 July 2026

The short version. This is a static informational website. It has no account, no billing, no hosted API, and no analytics. It collects nothing from you. The one thing your browser does fetch from a third party is the web fonts, described in section 3. Avorelo's command-line tool runs on your machine and keeps your data there.

1. Scope

This policy covers two separate things: this website, and the Avorelo command-line tool that runs on your own computer. It does not describe the previous hosted Avorelo service, which has been discontinued along with its accounts, billing and cloud storage.

2. What this website collects

Nothing. This site is static HTML and CSS. Specifically, it has:

  • no account, sign-up, or login;
  • no forms and no submission of any kind — nothing you type reaches us, because there is nowhere for it to go;
  • no billing, checkout, or customer portal;
  • no hosted API behind the pages;
  • no analytics, product-usage events, or click tracking. The article CTA analytics script that previously existed (article-analytics.js) has been removed from the site entirely, along with the CTA data attributes it read;
  • no cookies set by this site;
  • no localStorage or sessionStorage use;
  • no advertising, remarketing, or third-party trackers;
  • no remote scripts, remote images, or embedded frames.

3. Third-party requests your browser makes

This site does contact third parties, and it would be dishonest to imply otherwise. The pages use two web-font services, so your browser requests stylesheets and font files from them when you load a page that uses them:

HostWhat is requestedPages affected
fonts.googleapis.comStylesheet for the DM Sans and JetBrains Mono fonts53 of 76
fonts.gstatic.comThe font files referenced by that stylesheet53 of 76
api.fontshare.comStylesheet and font files for the Satoshi font53 of 76

As with any request your browser makes, those providers can see your IP address, user agent, and the page that referred the request. We do not control their handling of that data, and we receive nothing back from them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to those requests.

The remaining 23 pages — including the discontinued-service pages and several article and capability pages — make no external request at all.

These are the only third-party hosts the site contacts. There is no analytics provider, no CDN for scripts, and no payment provider, because there is nothing to pay for.

4. The Avorelo command-line tool

The tool is local-first. What it produces — receipts, evidence, session state, workspace detection results — is written to files on your machine and stays there. It is not uploaded, and there is no cloud service to upload it to.

Specifically, the tool does not:

  • send your source code, prompts, diffs, environment values, or secrets anywhere;
  • upload receipts or evidence;
  • synchronise anything to a cloud;
  • send automatic telemetry or usage analytics;
  • contact an activation, licensing, or entitlement server. avorelo activate writes local state and performs no online check;
  • open your browser by itself.

When the tool does use the network

There are exactly two cases, and you trigger both deliberately:

  • avorelo update-check makes a single bounded request to the public npm registry to ask whether a newer version exists. It sends no project data. If you never run it, the tool makes no outbound request.
  • Browser QA, when you run it, requests the target address you give it. It goes where you point it and nowhere else.

Where the tool prints a link, it prints it as text. Following it is your choice.

Support bundles

Running avorelo support bundle creates an allowlisted diagnostic artifact as a local file. Nothing is uploaded. You decide whether to share it and with whom, and you can inspect it first.

5. Licensing and privacy

Avorelo is Open Source under the Apache License 2.0. It does not rely on telemetry, online activation, or an account-based license check, and the tool contains no such mechanism.

Optional paid services are discussed by email at support@avorelo.com. That is a normal email address: clicking it opens your own mail client. This static website does not receive, process, or store your message — it has no contact form and no server. Any email you send is delivered and stored by the configured email/forwarding providers for that address, under their terms, not by this website.

6. Data we hold about you

None. There is no account database, no billing records, no usage analytics, and no contact list, because the hosted service that had them was discontinued and this website collects nothing.

Rights such as access, correction, export, or deletion are meaningful only where data is held. If you believe we hold something about you from the discontinued hosted service, email support@avorelo.com.

7. Children

This site is a technical information site and is not directed at children. It collects nothing from anyone, including children.

8. Changes to this policy

If the site's behaviour changes — for example if the fonts are self-hosted, or a licensing contact channel is added — this page will be updated to match what the site actually does. This policy describes the site as it is, not as it is planned to be.

9. Contact

There is no contact form on this site and nothing you type into any page is submitted anywhere. Enquiries are by email to support@avorelo.com, which opens your own mail client; the website neither sees nor stores the message. See the Contact page for how to reach us about licensing, support, and security.
